The black pakkawood handle, with its simple, elegant shape, as in the Shun Classic series, is in marked functional contrast to the opulent blade pattern.
The Shun Pro Sho knife blade is made from corrosion-resistant VG 10 steel with a hardness of 61 (± 1) HRC. Its cutting edge, honed to 16 ° on one side, ensures that extra sharpness which is designed for extreme precision. The flat side of the blade is hollow-ground – creating a cushion of air between it and the material being cut. This, combined with a wide, flat blade, reduces friction to a minimum and guarantees perfect cutting results.
The Shun Pro Sho handle, made of black pakkawood, looks very elegant and fits comfortably into the hand. Its asymmetrical chestnut shape enables a secure and comfortable grip when cutting. The integrated tang provides stability and balance.
